2016 — Playing with Wild Cards
Midnight bell rings. High Hopes for the game to turn in our favor.
New wins, New Year. It’s the first day of 2017, nothing seems to have changed. So why do we bet in a New Year, if we could have moved cards in the year that had just passed?
We were given one life. Before the game is over is crucial to make shifts on how we play it. Setting up small goals to get closer to where we want to be is essential, we will always want something more.
Last year, I had to learn how to observe and change strategy for the things I wanted to achieve. I made the best bets under the worst scenarios. I spent the first half of last year, playing with Wild Cards. Making the wrong bets, not taking enough risks, just playing it safe, fooling myself with excuses “Ok, I was not that lucky this time!”, and I have to say it feels good for some time, to play it safe, because I had nothing to lose. But there was nothing left to win either, nothing to learn, nothing to grow, nothing to aim for or to be thankful for. I was blaming this was happening because I was Undefined.
