Familiarity in the air, perhaps the language, maybe the ocean or the bright sunny winter days. A one-week get away in December, where the Eastern European winter was ready to freeze me out — 20℃ Lisbon vs. 0℃ Budapest.
The expedition Lisbon was originally organized to watch Shakira's new tour. Unfortunate events happened and the tour was cancelled, the expedition was in place though but in this beautiful land with more than 3,000 years of history, where the land meets the sea the highlights weren't missing. Obrigada Shakira!

Alfama — The Oldies Goldies
Alfama “hot fountains” or “baths” as it's called in Arabic, nowadays one of the coolest and oldest neighborhoods where me and my friends were Airbnbeing.
Definitely an artsy, fashionable and charming district made of a labyrinth of narrow streets and small squares. In the evenings, we could hear Fado — the typical melancholy music style of Portugal — from the window of our stay.
