Part II — The Nusa Island and South Bali

[Continues from #Exploring Bali — Mainland]

Safe and sound, it was such a relief I felt when we landed on Nusa Lembongan after the “shakiest” boat ride. To finish it off we had to jump off the boat and walk in the water to shore — for a short person that means your clothes are gonna get soaked, but that was just the beginning of the island life.

We got a “shuttle” to our Villa, which was located on a cliff and had and spectacular view.

Dark Tourist comments:

  • Our shuttle was basically those small trucks you see in movies when people migrate illegally and they all seat in the back and is open on the back.
  • I forgot to mention that in Bali the go to accommodation are the Villas, which are basically a small compound with a swimming pool , sometimes owned by locals, sometimes dominated by geckos — you see the trauma here!
  • Food poisoning is gonna happen at some point, if not with you with your travel partner. Be prepared and smart on your packing!
  • The islands have their Instagramish places, where you’ll never see how much trash and plastic bottles are actually there.
  • Road conditions for scooters are terrible and really easy to get into an accident if…
